Be sure to check the Tribune for this year’s trick-or-treating times to make sure you don’t miss out on the best houses and candy!

This year’s Halloween parade will be at 6:30 on October 31. The theme is Wild Wild West, so “Cowboys, gold miners, saloon girls, pioneers and all your Wild West favorites are welcome to saddle up and ride off into the sunset at the 43rd annual Meadville Halloween Parade!” The entry deadline is October 14, so don’t wait!

And of course, don’t forget to be safe – don’t let kids eat their candy until you’ve had a chance to check it out, and make sure younger kids are supervised by an older child or responsible adult.

Have fun!

Fun Fall Activities!

v  Make a Halloween costume from old clothing or newspapers – be creative!

v  Go apple-picking and make applesauce the old-fashioned way.

v  As the weather gets colder, find a way to help someone less fortunate – donate summer clothing that doesn’t fit anymore, or volunteer at a soup kitchen or church.

v  How many ways can you use a pumpkin? The seeds can be tasty roasted and salted!

v  What are you most excited about doing this fall? Make a list and don’t forget to cross things off when you do them…

v  Most importantly, have fun!
